Global Storylines

The impact on the children is amazing – it really gives them the enquiry and communication skills to be effective learners.

Global Storylines

Global Storylines is a unique method of teaching and learning, pioneered by WOSDEC, which combines traditional interdisciplinary methods of storyline, with values-based research, drama and deep reflection. Learners ‘become’ characters within a community, affected by a particular global issue and develop the skills to work together to tackle the problems they face. Global Storylines training is a powerful learning experience for teachers, and feedback demonstrates it has a transformative effect on teachers who undergo the training.

The training is accredited by the GTCS and can lead to Professional Recognition in Global Citizenship, for teachers who complete the requirements of the training, and who demonstrate the professional values, personal commitment and professional actions of the new Standard for Career-Long Professional Learning.
